Dispose Propertly: What & Where

It is important to understand what products and materials are not meant to be thrown away but disposed of properly.

Batteries
Batteries can leak into soil and contaminate water.  It’s important to dispose of them properly.  Many retailers will take used batteries and recycle them for you.

Cell Phones
Parts of cell phones can be easily recycled and you can always give your old cell phone to a program that collects them to give to those who need them.

Paint
Aluminum paint cans are made of recyclable materials and can be easily recycled.  Many locations will take used pain and paint cans, and reuse them.

Motor Oil
Motor oil can contaminate soil & water, and is dangerous to wildlife.  Ask your mechanic or service station where you can recycle it.

Electronics
Electronic parts are easily recyclable.  You can also take them to be refurbished or you can donate them.
